Chen Chuan was born in 1943. From 1984 to 1991 he was deputy director of Shandong Provincial Art Museum. First-class painting master, member of Chinese Artists’ Association. Awarded Chinese excellent Woodprinter of “Lu Xun Woodprint Works” in 1999. Awarded Bronze Prize in The 13th Chinese Woodprint Exhibition in 1996. Nominated for prizes in The 1st International Woodprint Biennial Maastricht, Holland in 1993. Awarded Golden Prize of Chinese Cultural Year Chinese Humanity Art Exhibition, Paris, France in 2004. He has many solo exhibition at art galleries and museums at home and abroad.
